About
Ethan Valencia is a Sports Performance Coach with Perfect 10 Performance who specializes in helping gymnasts and athletes develop the strength, conditioning, mobility, and physical preparation needed to support their performance goals. With a background in kinesiology and exercise science, personal training, and more than eight years of gymnastics coaching experience, Ethan brings a unique understanding of both the physical demands of gymnastics and the importance of individualized strength and conditioning. His experience coaching men’s gymnastics allows him to understand skills from a coaching perspective while using his education in exercise science to develop purposeful, athlete-specific training programs.
Ethan works with athletes on strength and conditioning, mobility, general athletic development, injury-risk reduction, and gymnastics-specific performance goals. His training is individualized based on each athlete’s needs and goals, whether they are working toward greater strength for a specific skill, improving overall physical preparedness, or continuing to build strength and conditioning outside of physical therapy.
As part of Perfect 10 Performance, Ethan provides non-medical sports performance and personal training services as an independent contractor, complementing Perfect 10.0 Physical Therapy’s clinical services while maintaining a clear distinction between performance training and physical therapy.
Fun Facts:
I have been an athlete my entire life, starting as a gymnast, so I understand firsthand the impact that quality coaching and training can have on an athlete’s performance. Through my own experience with physical therapy and strength training, I saw how much they elevated my performance as a gymnast. Now, as a Sports Performance Coach, I want to share the knowledge and experience I’ve gained to help athletes reach their potential with as few setbacks as possible.
